Session Description
Active Dialogue
Participants will engage in active dialogue with experts from across the state of Florida on topics such as: Practices/tools that have led to the greatest success of turnaround schools, Systems for supporting/monitoring school-based strategic plans, Development models and monitoring processes for Instructional Coaches, and Initiatives and/or programs that promote the social-emotional health of students in turnaround schools.
Participants will connect with peers that share like roles to discuss commonalities, challenges, and successful initiatives to problem solve around topics.
Leadership Team Meeting
Power BI & Master Tool Overview
School based administrative teams will hold leadership team meetings focused on driving the work of Transformation Coaches, Action Plan Cycles, and review of current data to include assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
MDCPS leaders in data management will introduce the Power BI tool used to influence the culture of data in the district. An overview of the master tool used to drive the process of developing/implementing Action Plan Cycles, coaching cycles, and utilized to detail coaching calendars and external support will be shared.
Teams will come together to discuss the best practices that were shared and to find opportunities for enhancing systems and practices in their home district.
Q & A Panel
A panel of experts will be assembled to answer questions on data tools, turnaround strategies and district initiatives.
